On Sunday, June 7, the first of our short summer run of the Local Curator Series. Ezra Holloway, born and bred just up the road in Saxtons River, has assembled a three-band banger of up-and-comers to bring heat and energy to the stage for a 7:00 PM show.
This will be a loud one.

A Few Fine Gents is a fusion jam band based in Westchester NY known for improvisational jams and blending genres.
Technicolour LTD is a crunchy band from Brattleboro influenced by '90s alt post-rock, post-hardcore, and post-punk.
Man Made Tragedies is an ambitious power trio known for their live shows of original music that blends punk energy with raw emotion.
Then on Sunday the 28th in a sweet yet weighty two-for-one 3:00 matinee, Carl Goulet and Sandiland & Vincent have a make-up date for their snowed-out January show.
Like a lot of rural musicians, Carl Goulet is a hidden gem who flies a little under the radar… an honest and heart-forward performing songwriter with the chops and fluency of artists who get a lot more attention. Passionate, sometimes political, sometimes humorous, always thoughtful. The Daily UV said that his album Gazebo “charms the listener with gentle melodies yet packs a punch with the depth of wisdom and love.” The clarity and purity of his writing and performing is seldom matched.
Similarly, Sandiland & Vincent have carefully honed their craft over years, producing songs with beautiful arrangements and tight, rich harmonies. Vincent has been playing guitar and bass for over 50 years, and Sandi has been in bands and duos since she was 19.

The History of Future Folk (1h 28m). A comet threatens to destroy their planet, so the citizens of Hondo enlist their most decorated soldier to search for a new home. Landing near Brooklyn, he wanders into a megastore to unleash terror and is enchanted by a human invention called "music." He abandons his mission, assumes the name Bill, and launches a bluegrass act. The Hondonians send an assassin to get the mission back on track. Subduing Kevin is no challenge for the great General Trius... they join forces to save Hondo, prevent an intergalactic takeover of Earth, and hopefully get some bigger gigs for the universe's first Hondonian bluegrass duo.

(Except for ones that we, or the performer, think suck... which are exceedingly few. Duds are really rare, which, given our weird first-come first-served booking thing, is a bit of a surprise. But the wait list is so bizarrely long – in excess of two years at this point – that it seems to weed out just about all the folks who aren't exceptionally dedicated to their art.)
