Jesse Peters has been a Southern Vermont music fixture since graduating The University of The Arts in Philadelphia with a bachelor’s in jazz guitar and a master’s in music teaching in 2001. His styles run the gamut while remaining focused and accessible.

Seven 12-minute-or-less short slots will precede — some familiar players, some new ones. Micro-sets are an engaging way to discover performers you probably hadn't known about before. Impressive talents sometimes materialize out of left field... and sometimes talents materialize that are just plain out of left field. It's a good time.

With the backlog of Covid-postponed shows to reschedule and a growing list of artists waiting for future dates, we haven't run many open-mic type things since the lockdown. When this date's featured act needed to withdraw, opportunity opened a door. Jesse, who had been on tap to open, was elevated to the feature slot, and (as you'll remember) we put out that call to you newsletter folks to see if there might be half a dozen performers interested in playing short slots. Seven responses within 24 hours.

A catastrophe at the last show... the audio capture failed for the first two sets. Like, the whole freakin' thing. We have concurrent redundancy because of exactly this possibility — but it failed in a way we never anticipated, taking the whole damn thing down. ARGH! First time that's happened. Hopefully the last. We got it working again for the last set.Consequently, we subsequently took a dip in the emergency pool to update a key computer. It left the reservoir a little parched — but the green, green grass of averting a similar disaster in the foreseeable future feels good to roll around in.We did the best we could for the Decatur Creek and High Tea videos using the stream and camera audio. It worked out mostly OK for High Tea, but Decatur Creek really suffered — they're so clean and smoove. Fortunately, they'll be back as the headliners on April 16!
