It goes without saying that we're excited to have Dan & Faith on the stage this Thursday.

An old-school multi-instrumentalist couple-duo who would have been right at home in the classic city-coffeehouse folk-revival era? We are so completely up for that! This event has received better-than-average press attention. Perhaps that means you should come. More info follows below. To sweeten the pot, the 6:00 hour is also looking like it's going to be something tasty. One of our favorite pals, Will Stahl, is signed on for sure. Rumor has it that there will be some well-seasoned gritty roots-Americana from Matt Seiple, coming down from White River Junction. And the mighty Gillis Mills said that he intends to hoof in as well... hopefully that means he's going to favor us with his Southeast Texas early country blues style. Josh Maiocco, who blew our minds back in October, asked us if there were any shorts open — but we don't actually know for certain if he's coming or not. Which makes it all the more excitin'. There's also been a late-breaking inquiry from Carl Beverly from over in Warner NH, whose stuff on Bandcamp sounds great. He's not for-sure yet for this Thursday, but read on, dear reader:That's more shorts than we can fit in an hour unless they're really short, so here's the thing: If there's performer interest, we'll do more slots after Dan & Faith wrap, which will be 8:00 or later. That includes doing a second set (or do-overs) if you played in the first hour. If you're interested in playing a couple-three songs for ten or so minutes, we'll fit you in by hook or crook. Within reason. First come, first served. Everything will be recorded and filmed.Audience members are encouraged to come early and stay late!Multi-instrumentalist folk duo Dan and Faith will give an intimate Stage 33 Live performance at 33 Bridge Street in Bellows Falls, Vermont, on January 17 at 7:00 PM in advance of touring the midwest and south. Their writing and delivery conjure the urban coffeehouse folk scene of the ’60s and ’70s — progressive, thoughtful, friendly. Dreams and everyday life inspire their original songs. Suggested $5 minimum donation. Seating capacity is 40, plus standing room.Short slots with a casual, open-mic vibe by local performers start at 6:00. If the ones mentioned above all show up, the hour is filled and then some. If players are interested in there being more short slots after Dan & Faith, we can roll with that. Original works only, no covers, must be FCC-safe (rated PG). RSVP to [email protected] or voicemail / text 802-289-0148. If you want to sign on for a later date, that's cool too. None of the short slots for March 21, April 18, or the series finale on May 16 are spoken for yet. Sometimes we only have one or two for the shorts, sometimes it fills. It's also fine to sign up for more than one date.Stage 33 Live documents performances and presentations on a simple stage in a former factory building for downstream audiences — the homegrown love child of Tiny Desk Concerts, Ted Talks, Science Friday, Midnight Special, and The Little Rascals. All performances are recorded and filmed. The "3rd Thursdays @ 33" series runs through May.

And don't forget about the chance to get your crunch on Saturday, January 20 when The Jobz and Jessica Rabbit Syndrome come to record and film concert sets starting around 6:30 and going to 9ish. We'll send out one of these thingers about that in a few days to remind you. Meantime, see this and this.
